2. What do you do at Ampower daily?

To be honest, I enjoy working with a great team and management here at Ampower. Also, I enjoy working with numbers and digits on excel.

4. What advice were you given in your career that has stuck with you?

I remember when I was studying my master degree here in the UK, one of the professors at Sheffield Hallam University, Mr. Brian told me that accounting in business is considered the backbone of the company, it has a substantial importance since it indicates the managers and shareholders to what extent the business is working properly and in a successful way . Therefore, the accountants must always be honest, accurate and reflect the business performance fairly. Furthermore, they must behave at a high level of professionality. In fact, I have been doing my best to comply with accounting and auditing code of conducts and behave that way accordingly.

5. As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

From the beginning of my career I have always dreamt of working on commerce or economise. I remember very well, during the earlier years of my life, I was thinking of becoming a businessman; therefore, I decided to learn accounting, and I strongly believe that my decision was completely right. I can’t tell you how much I like my career, and I believe accounting and being an accountant and aware of the whole business operation, is the only way to reach me to the top. And I feel proud of being a member of the staff of this esteemed company.

I prefer to go to café to have my favourite tea, or sometimes I take my lovely family outside, and we enjoy taking our dinner together.

7. What accomplishment are you most proud of?

The most and highest accomplishment that I really feel proud of is achieving my Master Degree in accounting and finance in a foreign country such as UK in one year, taking into consideration all difficulties that I had during my education, for example being away from my family for almost a year and completing a degree in different language other than my mother language “Arabic”, but thanking the God, with hard work, and a considerable degree of patience I was able to achieve my dream and I got my certificate with merit.

8. What is your most treasured possession?

Well, I feel the most treasured possession for me is my family, in particular, my wife “Salam” and my two brothers “Hussein and Mohammad”.

9. Tell us something different about yourself?

I like adventures and travelling. In 2011 I travelled to 5 European countries within three weeks to explore different culture and traditions, that is completely different than our cultures in the middle east countries. I like camping and remember camping in the desert when I was living in Qatar with my friends.

10. Summary

Thank you so much for giving this opportunity to highlight my career and my personality. To be honest with every one of you, I am lucky to be working for this company, and I personally wish to see Ampower growing and reaching higher levels of success.
